Driving Alert For the Pine-Richland School Community
Drivers, who travel Route 910/Gibsonia Road in Richland Township, can expect some delays for about nine months, while crews replace a bridge over the Pennsylvania Turnpike at Milepost 36.2.
A detour will be posted no earlier than Feb. 25, 2008 and will be removed no later than November 14, 2008.
The Turnpike Commission is recommending drivers use an alternate detour. Click here for the map/detour. Read below for instructions.
To reach Hance Elementary School, Richland Elementary & Eden Hall Upper Elementary:
- Travel East on State Route 910/Gibsonia Road.
- Make a left onto State Route 8 North/William Flynn Highway. (If you wish to visit Hance Elementary School continue straight on Ewalt Road and make a right at Molnar Drive.)
- Make a Right onto Heckert Road.
- Make a left onto Bakerstown Road (The Red Belt).
- You will see Richland Elementary School on your left and Eden Hall Upper Elementary School on your right.
- You can continue on Bakerstown-Warrendale Road to reach the high school & middle school.
- Slightly turn left onto Babcock Boulevard and a slight right takes you on to Warrendale Road.
- You will see Pine-Richland High School on your left.
- To Reach Pine-Richland Middle School, veer left on Babcock Boulevard and continue on to Babcock Boulevard.
- The entrance to the middle school will be on your right
To reach Wexford Elementary:
- Ccontinue straight on Babcock and make a right on to State Route 910/Gibsonia Road, make a left on to Reynolds Road and veer slightly right onto Brown Road.
- You will see Wexford Elementary School on your right.
The bridge that will be replaced/closed is situated between Hardt Road and South Montour Road on Route 910/Gibsonia Road.
