GIRL’S LACROSSE: Girls Lacrosse tryouts for High School team will be held from March 6th through the 9th.  For further information, contact Head Coach Adams.

BOY’S BASKETBALL: On Feb. 21, 2017, the PRHS Boys Varsity and JV teams will scrimmage Kennedy Catholic at home. The scrimmage will start at 5:00 p.m. The PRHS Boys Basketball Team are the number one seed in the WPIAL Championship. They will face the winner of the Canon McMillan and North Allegheny game.

GIRL’S BASKETBALL: The Lady Rams are also the number one seed in the WPIAL Championships. They will face the winner of the Bethel Park and Penn Trafford game.

SWIMMING AND DIVING: On Feb. 18, 2017, the PRHS Varsity team will compete in the Varsity Invitational. The meet will be held at North Allegheny Senior High School, starting at 6:00 p.m.

ICE HOCKEY: On Feb. 20, 2017, the PRHS Varsity team will face North Allegheny at home. The puck drops at 7:00 p.m. at the Baierl Ice Complex.

TRACK & FIELD: All potential athletes interested in participating in spring track & field must meet two requirements: One, have a current physical on file with the athletic office before Feb. 23, 2017. Two, attend a pre-season meeting on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017 in the Steam LGI room after school. If you have any questions, please see coaches Devinney, Dugger, Florijan or Seybert.

BOY’S VOLLEYBALL: Boys interested in playing volleyball are encouraged to attend an open gym from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Middle School Gym the week of Feb. 13, 2017. The open gyms will take place this Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 and Friday, Feb. 17, 2017.

GIRL’S BASKETBALL: On Feb. 9, 2017 senior Amanda Kalin became PR’s all-time point’s leader. She broke a record that was set in the year of 1998. Also, be sure to congratulate team manager Bailey Heaton, who scored 4 points in the game for PR. Details...

WRESTLING: Congratulations to the PRHS Wrestling Team, which earned a 63-6 win over Knoch. Wrestler Hunter Baxter won his match giving him the new school career record of 119 wins and growing.  The PRHS Varsity Wrestling Team earned top awards at the Annual Powerade Invitational Wrestling Tournament that took place on Dec. 29-30, 2016.  This year was the 50th year of the tournament, which is ranked by Wrestling Report as the toughest wrestling tournament in the state of Pennsylvania and the second toughest tournament in the entire country.  The Pine-Richland boys had their best showing ever by placing 3 members in the top 8 of this highly prestigious tournament. PR rankings included: Freshman - Nate Lukez - 8th place; Senior - Alex Salas - 7th place; and Senior - Hunter Baxter - 7th place. More details...

The weekend of Jan. 14, 2017, the PRHS Varsity and JV Wrestling teams competed in the Virginia Duals tournament that took place in Hampton, Virginia. At the tournament, Hunter Baxter broke the school record for most career wins and Alex Salas broke the Century Mark by exceeding 100 wins in his career. Congratulations Hunter and Alex!

ICE HOCKEYCongratulations to ­t­he Pine-Richland Middle School 2 Ice Hock­ey­ Team for a 4-3 w­in over the Shady Side Academy and the JV1 Ice Hock­ey­ Team for their 4-2 w­in over Butler JV on Jan. 9, 2017. the PRMS 2 Ice Hockey Team also took a 6-2 win over Highlands on Jan. 8, 2017.  Wa­y to go Ram­s.

BOY’S LACROSSE: Registration for the 2017 high school boy’s lacrosse team is open. Registration closes on Feb. 28, 2017.
