Dear Parent/Guardian:
Please don’t miss this important drug prevention video
series!
The Pine Richland School District is working with nineteen
other regional school districts and six non public schools to
encourage parents to access Internet based drug prevention education
resources.
These resources for parents are available through The Alliance
Against Drugs web site at http://www.drug-alliance.org/.
In February, the Alliance began piloting a "Prevention
Video a Month" program and on line discussion board for
your comments after viewing the videos. The objective is for
thousands of high school parents to view and discuss a series
of four locally produced drug prevention videos. If you have
a high speed Internet connection, please be part of this pilot
program.*
Please view and comment on the videos in the series by clicking

February – “Listen” - The "Listen"
video was produced to mobilize parents and community members
to address the real dangers and threats of drugs in our region.
It is the first in a series of videos. It has been viewed by
thousands.
March – “Deception” - The
video in our series, "Deception" was produced to address
the issues of deceit, denial and enabling.
April – “Breaking the Code of
Silence” – In this video, various community leaders,
parents and teens describe the current state of the drug culture
and the code of silence that must be broken. Emphasis on becoming
“Responsible Reporters” is the entire community’s
obligation.
