Communicating with the School Board |
Visitors may ask questions at the beginning and again at the close of each public meeting. Visitors are asked to limit their comments to three minutes, so that everyone may have an opportunity to speak. It is helpful when questions are sent in advance to the Superintendent or the school board secretary, so that the appropriate school official is prepared to respond during a public session. Board members are best able to comment on issues of policy, finance and educational philosophy, rather than specific staff-student matters. You may write to the Board, in care of the School Board Secretary, or communicate via email.
The board typically operates as a committee of the whole but does have appointed committees for special projects. Committee assignments are listed below.
