PR Cheerleading Competition Team
Takes First Place in State Competition

The Pine-Richland Cheerleading Competition Team earned first place at the Pennsylvania State Championships at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena in Johnstown, PA on Nov. 15, 2008.

Coach Danielle DeRenzo says the team was named PA State Champs in the small varsity division and Best Overall Team topping other Quad A teams such as Shaler and North Allegheny.

“This is a huge accomplishment for the girls, and we are very proud of them,” DeRenzo said.

The team consists of senior captains Emma Holmes and Jordan Sender and juniors: Danielle Dzvonick, Brielle McAliney, Chelsey Patricca and Rachelle Roberts, sophomores: Natalie Cunningham, Brittany Edwards, Ashley Henley, Stephanie Kamenicky and Erin Wise and freshman squad members: Taylor Bittle, Anna Carlson and Kierstyn Hughes.

In addition to coach DeRenzo, Danielle Hitson and Marc Bombich make up the coaching staff.
