PR Varsity Cheerleaders to Compete at Nationals

The Pine-Richland Varsity Cheerleading Competition Squad will compete at the National High School Cheerleading Championship at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL Feb. 7-8, 2009.

NHSCC will be televised nationwide and internationally on ESPN and ESPN2. The competition is hosted by the Universal Cheerleading Association.

To earn participation in the competition, the squad placed first in the Small Varsity Division on December 6, 2008 at the regional competition at Slippery Rock University. A total of 28 teams competed in the Small, Medium, Large & Extra Large Divisions. Pine-Richland coaches include: Daniella DeRenzo, Danielle Hitson and Marc Bombich.
