PR Crew Ready for Winter Competitions

The Pine-Richland Crew is preparing for the Pittsburgh Indoor Sprints to be held January 31, 2009.

The rowing team has concluded its fall season with success. Most recently, the Men's Novice 4+ Boat and the Women's Novice Four + Boat each captured the gold at the "Pull-the-Plug" Regatta held November 2, 2008 on the Erie Canal in Pittsford NY.

The rowers in the Men’s Novice 4+ Boat earning gold include: Max Wilkinson, Jake Anna, Isaac Egyed, Zak Fedunok and coxswain Jenni Collado, and the rowers in the Women’s Novice 4+ Boat earning gold include: Leah Miller, Amanda Zalno, Kim Novak, Allie Marshall and coxswain Collado. The coxswain is the person in charge of navigating and steering the boat.

Rowers could qualify for the CRASH-B Sprints World Indoor Rowing Championships that will be held in Boston, MA on February 22, 2009.
