The Pine-Richland School District unveiled a software program called "OnHands School" to its District Data Council, during a special workshop on Dec. 15, 2005.

Representatives from each of the district’s five school buildings had a chance to learn to use the program for data analysis. During the workshop, the district introduced a Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) format for analyzing data and for making building level decisions on how best to raise student achievement based on that analysis. In wake of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Initiative, educators are eager to have this resource at their fingertips. “We are very excited about this significant step on our way to a practical and sophisticated method of tying our assessments, curriculum and instruction together,” Assistant Superintendent Robert Johnson said.
The data teams will share their results with teachers and demonstrate the software so teachers may use the data to adjust instruction to students’ strengths and needs. Assistant Superintendent Robert Johnson, Psychological/Assessment Services Director Michael Loughead and Richland Elementary School Principal Robert Cooper led the Data Retreat Workshop.
