Pine-Richland School District Curriculum
Rigor & Customization
Program of Studies
Pine-Richland has seen a transformation of buildings over the years and in the process has been transforming academically to realize its vision as a recognized leader in education. The goal is to give graduates a sustained competitive advantage in our global society.
Pine-Richland School District is considered a high performing school district and its reputation as a quality school district is increasing annually. Educators continually work on the heart of our district, the curriculum.
While the district bases its curriculum on the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment Standards and is watching closely as the National Core Standards are formatted, the district goes a step further and provide our students with rigorous experiences, which are tailored to their needs. For example, Pre-AP programs are offered as early as middle school and additional courses such as Mandarin Chinese and Dual-Enrollment Courses are offered to students.
The goal is to help students discover their strengths and passions by providing them with opportunities to customize their educational experiences.

The district continually reviews, revises and renews it's curriculum. Please visit our curriculum overview of each level to the left of this screen.
