PRHS Named Overall Winner
at Annual Drafting Competition
Judges named Pine-Richland High School (PRHS) as “2008 Overall Winner” at the 17 th Annual Drafting Competition and Technology Fair at Butler Community College (BCCC) for the fifth straight year. The drafting contest and technology fair was open to students, teachers, and parents of high school, vocational and technical school and career centers.
Participants enjoyed a day of educational opportunities and technical challenges on April 30, 2008 in the AK Steel Lobby of the Science and Technology Building
The drafting contest challenged high schools and vocational and career centers in the following categories: Architectural Drafting (Manual), Machine Drafting (Manual), AutoCAD 2007 2D Mechanical, AutoCAD 2007 3D Mechanical (Inventor), AutoCAD 2007 Architectural (Architectural Desktop), Solidworks 2006* and Revit**. Contestants had about three hours to complete their assigned problem.
Local engineers, designers, and CAD operators evaluated student work in each category.
