PR KIDS C.A.R.E.

Community, Awareness, Responsibility, Environment

The mission of PR Kids C.A.R.E. outreach program is to encourage social responsibility, community involvement and thoughtful action among all the students of Eden Hall Upper Elementary School.   The goal of these grade-level programs will be to provide service opportunities to our students in a variety of areas including, but not limited to, the environment, youth, special needs, literacy, senior citizens, health, hunger, homelessness and other community issues.

Adult committee volunteers will identify approximately four community projects per school year per grade level and guide the students through these hands-on learning opportunities empowering them to do good in their community.

Grade 4 Permission Slip:  Grade 4 will be involved in areas such as troop support, food collection drives, outreach-to-peers program, and collecting loose change in the event of a catastrophic event.  Click here for the schedule for the year.

Grade 5 Permission Slip: Grade 5 will work on environmental issues such as trash conservation, rinsing and recycling milk/water bottles in the cafeteria, and learning how to create and use compost.

Grade 6 Permission Slip:  Grade 6 is planning to adopt the Pine-Richland Youth Center by raising funds and increasing awareness about the Center and its programs.

6th Grade Penny Wars

Many thanks to all participants of the Penny Wars between the sixth grade classes.  The Outreach students did a great job promoting the fundraiser and sorting coins.  Through these efforts, we raised $725 for the Pine-Richland Youth Center.  Congratulations to Mrs. Villegas' class for winning the Penny War contest; they will be enjoying a pizza party lunch!
