Navy Cmdr. Stephen FrickA Richland High School graduate will command the space shuttle Atlantis on Dec. 6, 2007. 

Navy Cmdr. Stephen Frick will help deliver the European Space Agency's Columbus laboratory to the International Space Station, along with six other crew members.  (Read More...)

Dear PR Community,

The PR School Board is reorganizing on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007 at 7:30 p.m.
 
That evening, the district will welcome four new board members. They include: Therese Dawson, Aafke Loney, Kevin Nigh and Scott Stedeford. Incumbent A. Robert Necciai was re-elected and will continue to serve along with President Gary Deschamps, Vice President Stephen Hawbaker, Treasurer Dennis Sundo and Director Rich Herko. In addition, the board will appoint a new president and vice president.

On Nov. 20, 07, the district honored four retiring board members for their 21 years of combined service and dedication to education. They include: Marilyn Reed (12 Years), Dr. Joseph Merhaut (4 Years), Dr. James Werkmeister (4 Years) and Michael Hinson (1 Year).
 

PR Unveils Name of Future School

Upper Elementary Rendering

Pine-Richland's future upper elementary school now has a name! The school, which will serve students in grades four, five and six, will be named Eden Hall Upper Elementary School. The new name was unveiled at the PR School Board meeting on Nov. 20, 07. The board also agreed to name the Exploratorium in honor of Sebastian Mueller, who served as senior vice-president of the H.J. Heinz Company in the beginning of the 20th century.
