Financial Services Essay Program

Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania, Inc. in cooperation with the members of the Greater Pittsburgh Compliance Roundtable are proud to sponsor a Financial Services Essay program.

For theinaugural event, students in grades nine through 12 will have the opportunity to present an essay regarding financial investing addressing one of two questions:

"How would you convince your best friend that saving and investing from an early age is the best way to ensure opportunity and prosperity, or what is the most important way in which investing by individuals and households helps the economy?"

Entries will be judged by a panel of industry experts chaired by Len Boselovic, business columnist and business reporter for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.Essay Contest.

Pine-Richland students will will have an opportunity to compete for five $100 cash prizes. In addition, a scholarship of no less than $1,000 will be awarded to a student, who plans to attend CCAC in the fall.

The top five participants will be invited to attend our annual Symposium in Pittsburgh in April.
