BOARD POLICY #707 - USE OF SCHOOL FACILITIES

The Pine-Richland Board of Education recognizes that school district facilities are provided by the taxpayers to meet the educational needs of the community. The primary use of school facilities is to support the K-12 instructional and extracurricular programs. When not in use for these purposes, our facilities may be made available to community groups, subject to School Board policies, regulations and prevailing fee schedules.

The following regulations and restrictions are applicable to all user groups, except those which operate under separate or seasonal contracts, such as CCAC, WPIAL, the Joint Recreation Board, or other organizations, as recommended by the Superintendent.

Community use of school facilities cannot interfere with the district's instructional or extracurricular program. Adequate supervision must be provided by the user group at all times. Police and/or security protection must be provided by the user-group, if so required by the school administration. The user-group shall contract independently with the School District’s security firm or the Pine or Richland Township Police.
