Season of
Celebrations Outreach
Ends December 11
 During the
district-wide Season of Celebrations,
Richland Elementary is conducting its annual Hat &
Mitten Drive. Through December 11, children can donate
new hats,
mittens, socks, and underwear and either hang
on the tree or place in the collection box in the front
lobby. All donations will go to local charities.

for an Important Procedural Note
Mrs. Carolyn Will will be on a short-term leave of
absence beginning Wednesday, December 9. If you are
emailing the school with any changes
in your child's transportation or dismissal, please
be sure to email both the teacher and Mrs. Morrissey at kmorrissey@pinerichland.org.
As always, we would prefer a hand-written note or a phone
call. If the teacher or secretary is absent, the
substitute will not have access to email and may not receive the
note. Thank you for your help.

Sing-a-Long & Parties
December 22
& 23
 Sing-a-Long: Our annual
sing-a-long is being held on December 22 at 2:45 p.m. Parents
and AM Kindergarten are welcome to join us!
Classroom Holiday Parties are being held on
December 23 from 2-3 p.m. Volunteers may arrive at 1:40
p.m. As part of the guidelines, we ask that you not send
extra items, snacks, or treat bags for the party. The
designated party planners will be hard at work planning fun
activities for the kids. If you are a party planner and have
questions, please email Michelle Hall.

Can You
Donate?
As winter weather approaches, we are anticipating many
more indoor recess days. To keep your children occupied
during this break in their day, please consider donating old
board games, puzzles, cards, etc. Please place your
donations in the school office.

News for Silver for Soldiers
Supporting
Operation Troop Appreciation
Thanks to your generous donations toward the Silver for Soldiers
campaign, we raised $1,536.41 for a local troop which is
deploying to Afghanistan in a few weeks. Click here if

Thank you for shopping and supporting the Richland
Book Fair. We received almost $3,000 worth of books for
the school. The staff, students, and our librarian Mrs.
Pearson appreciate the families shopping and supporting this
event.
