Superintendent Provides Update on Expansion
Project
To keep you informed, Dr. Mary Bucci will provide
regular updates on the Pine-Richland High School expansion
project. She reminds the community the district is mapping out
this plan with a strategic vision to craft a well-thought out
blueprint to ensure expansion goes hand-in-hand with the
curriculum. She has been involved in the process of meeting with
the architect and consultants on a regular basis. Read her

Kindergarten Registration Scheduled for February:
Registration for kindergarten for the 2010-2011 school year
will take place at the District's Administrative Offices located

Opportunities Fund Gears Up to Award More than $18,000 in
Scholarships: The Pine-Richland Opportunities
Fund is announcing today the availability of eight scholarships
equaling nearly $18,000. Scholarship applications are due
April 9, 2010, except for the Gallagher-Lynn Scholarship, which

Being held in the PRHS auditorium on February 5
at 7 p.m. This free event will feature excellent jazz

the PRHS Atrium on February 23. The program is
free and open to the public and will feature the jazz bands
and jazz ensemble from PRMS and PRHS. *Please

Students to Make Debut on PBS March 7: The
PRHS Chamber Singers and an Eden Hall Upper Elementary student
will make their debut on PBS March 7 at 6:30 p.m. They've been
selected to be a part of a televised event called "Celebrate
America" being broadcast on PBS stations and subsequently

The PRMS Drama Club Production Rescheduled:
The PRMS Production of the "Wizard of Oz",
originally scheduled for February 4-6, has been rescheduled
to Friday, February 12 and Saturday, February 13
at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door. PRMS
is located at 100 Logan Road in Gibsonia. Some of the
proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish and fund raising for Haiti.

Mile Team Alex Run/Walk, April 24:
Organizers are accepting registrations for a 5K/5 Mile Run

Ice Hockey game vs. Seneca Valley at Warrendale Bladerunners,
followed by "PRHS Hockey Night at Quaker Steak &
Lube" from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Ten percent
of proceeds generated by Rams Fans will be donated to

PRHS Softball Boosters is sponsoring a Night At The Races (adults

for girls in grades 1-3. The clinic will be held from

Center on February 15 (no school!) at noon for our first annual
Dodge Ball Tournament. Tournament is limited to eight teams
of six players each. Tournament is round-robin style

The Camp Invention Innovate program is coming to Wexford
Elementary June 21-25. Through a unique partnership with the nonprofit
Invent Now Kids, the Pine-Richland School District is hosting
