Links Pediatric Crutches Needed
Donations Due Today
If you have
pediatric crutches that can be donated to Global Links for delivery
to the children of Haiti, please drop off your donations at school
today. Please be sure the crutches are taped together with
mailing tape. Questions? Email Melissa Sullivan.

Valentine's Parties
February
12
 Classroom parties are being held on February 12.
As part of the guidelines, we ask that you not send extra items,
snacks, or treat bags for the party. The designated party planners
will be hard at work planning fun activities for the kids.
The parties will be held from 2-3 p.m., and party planners can
arrive at 1:40 to set up. AM Kindergarten parties will be
from 10:30-11:30; party planners may arrive at 10:15 for set up.

Nurse Notes
BMI (Body
Mass Index) letters were sent home in the
January report cards. Please contact the school nurse if you
have any questions. Information about BMI can be
found by clicking
here.
Kindergarten
physical exams are now due. If the nurse is
missing your child's physical, a letter was sent
home. School physicals will be done in March/April 2010.
Contact the nurse if you are interested in a school
physical.

Jump Rope for Heart
Monday,
February 22
 In conjunction with the American Heart Association,
Richland Elementary is participating in Jump Rope for Heart on Monday,
February 22.
Donation
forms will be sent home with your
child. All proceeds will benefit the American Heart
Association. A donation is not
required for your child to participate in the event. Please
make checks payable to "The American Heart Association" and
return the form by Monday, February 22.
Volunteers Needed
to Make This Event a Success!
During gym class, the children will rotate through five fun
stations -- all focused on heart-healthy exercises. We
have three sessions; five volunteers needed per

Movie Night!
Friday,
February 26
Join us for great
family fun at Movie Night on February 26 at Richland
Elementary School. Doors open at 6:30 and the movie will
begin promptly at 7 p.m. Popcorn and beverages will be
provided. Prior to Movie Night, students will have a
chance to vote for the their choice of
movie. The selection will be announced in the Flash.
