School Board Meeting Details

PRMS Re-Designated as 'School to Watch':  PRMS is earning the coveted "School to Watch" award for a third time in a row. This is a first for any school in PA.  Read more...

 

Children of EdenPR Gears Up for Musical Production: PRHS students are busy preparing for their musical production "Children of Eden". Click here for ticket details and performance times.

PRHS Annual Prom Fashion Show Scheduled for April 17:  The public is invited to an afternoon of elegance and fashion on April 17.  Tickets will be sold in advance by the models and at the door the day of the event.  Questions?  Contact Lynn Yates at 724-933-6251.

Western Regional Honors Band:  Six PRHS students qualified for the Pennsylvania Music Educator's Western Regional Honors Band.  Details...

 

Congratulations to the Inline Hockey Players & Coaches on a Great Season:  V1 White finished in fourth place in their division for the season and will advance to states!  V2 Green tied for first place in their division with a record of 12-4.

5K/5 Mile Team Alex Run/Walk, April 24:  Organizers are accepting registrations for a 5K/5 Mile Run Walk to benefit Alex Brown, a Pine-Richland 4-year-old. District Fundraisers

Playing College Sports, Monday, March 22, 2010, PRHS LGI Room, 7:30-9 p.m.:  The PRHS Baseball Boosters are proudly sponsoring a free seminar presented by Mark Saghy for anyone interested in learning more about the process and opportunities for college athletics. Mr. Saghy is a well-known spokesman on this topic and promoter of many area high school athletes into colleges.  Even more importantly, information in his seminar will provide everyone the needed direction in finding the right school through the college search and recruiting process.  For more information, click here.

 

Pine-Richland Baseball Boosters Upcoming Fundraiser:  The Pine-Richland Baseball Boosters will be hosting a Marathon Baseball Game on Saturday, April 17, 2010 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the PR varsity baseball field.  There will be food, raffles, and fun for all members of the PR community.  If you know any PR baseball alumni who would be interested in playing on a team that day, please contact Chris McCuen, PR Boosters Co-chairperson, via email or phone 724-799-8283.

 

PRHS Choral Boosters Hosting Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser:  The PRHS Choral Boosters are hosting its annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser.  Enjoy a delicious dinner from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on March 27 at PRHS, while you are taking in the matinee or evening showing of the the PRHS musical performance of "Children of Eden".  You can hear a special performance by the PRHS choral singers and orchestra.  Click here for complete details.

Spring Fencing Class Registration for Ages 8-16:  Try this Modern Olympic Sport and discover why fencing is so popular! The Pine-Richland Fencing Club is teaming with the Three Rivers Fencing Center to offer this Modern Olympic Fencing Class.  Details.....

 

Pine-Richland High School Boys Lacrosse Club Clinic Scheduled for April 10(The date was incorrect in the previous edition...please note date is April 10.)  Lacrosse players in grades 3-8 are invited to test your skills and learn from the Pine-Richland High School players and coaching staff.  Click here for more information and a registration form.

Spring Field Hockey Program for Girls & Boys in Grades K-6:  PRYC hosting Sunday sessions from April 11-May 23 at the Pine-Richland High School Stadium.  Click here for details and registration form.

Spring Soccer Clinic:  Jodi Chmielewski, Pine-Richland Girls' Varsity soccer coach and Director of the PRGS Academy, will offer a spring soccer clinic for girls in grades 1-3.  The clinic will be held from 1-2:15 p.m. beginning Sunday, April 11, and will run for eight weeks.  Click here for the registration form.  Questions?  Contact Jodi Chmielewski.

 

Shoot to Score Soccer Camp for Girls' Entering Grades K-8 in the Fall:  Coach Jodi Chmielewski will be hosting the 12th annual PRGS Shoot to Score Soccer Camp at the Pine-Richland Stadium from Tuesday, August 3, - Friday, August 6, from 9 a.m. to noon.  Details...  Questions?  Email Coach Chmielewski.

PR Youth Baseball and Softball - Registration Open by Mail!  T-Ball and Baseball league deadline has passed but registrations still being accepted with a late fee.  Softball league deadline is March 12.  Applications received after these dates will be accepted but will include a $50 late fee.  Send the completed registration form and a check payable to "PRBSA" to: PRBSA, PO Box 243, Gibsonia, PA 15044.  Raffle tickets will be distributed through your coach.  Click here for the registration form.

Pine-Richland Soccer Club Spring Registration Wait List in Progress: Late registrations will be accepted for our wait list through (post-mark date) March 7. A $20 non-refundable late fee must be included. Incomplete registrations will not be processed. If space is no longer available, you will receive a full refund. For more information, click here.

Richland Township Volunteer Fire Department Hosting Breakfast:

The annual "All You Can Eat Pancake and Sausage Breakfast" is being held on Sunday, March 7, from  9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  The event is being hosted at its social hall located at 5857 Meridian Road in Gibsonia.  There is no admission cost, but they are asking for a free-will donation.  The breakfast is held regardless of the weather.

 

PRYC Events:  Hosting is 2nd Annual Turkey Shoot on April 17.  March Movie Night featuring the movie "UP" is scheduled for Saturday, March 27; doors open at 6:45.  For more information on these programs and more, please visit the PRYC website.

PRYC SERVE Program Hosting Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser:  Being held on Saturday, March 20, from 4-8 p.m. at the North Hampton Firehall.  Take out also available.  Advance ticket purchase is recommended.  Click here for details.

2nd Annual Pittsburgh Superhero Foundation 5K Run/Walk Registering Participants:  The 2nd Annual Pittsburgh Superhero Foundation 5K Run/Walk is taking registrations for its family event to raise funds and awareness to help prevent child abuse and aid abuse victims. The 5K Run/Walk is being held on April 17 at 9 a.m. at the North Park Lodge. Check in is at 8 a.m. The registration deadline is April 15. Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite super hero costumes.  Register online.

Easter Egg Hunt:  Pine Township will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt at Pine Community Park on Saturday, March 27.  This event is for children ages 1-9 and is free for Pine residents, $3 for non-residents.  All participants must pre-register by March 19.

10th Annual Easter Egg-Stravaganza:  Being held on Saturday, March 27, 12:05 p.m.  Registration deadline is March 19.  Free for residents; $3 for non-residents.

 
Backyard Composting:  Presented by the Pennsylvania Resources Council on Wednesday, March 31, 6:30 to 8:15, at the Richland Township Activity Room.  Cost is $40 Single/$50 Couple (Includes one compost unit  per registration).  Registration deadline is Friday, March 26.
 
Celebrate the Rain and Earth Day - Rain Barrel/Watershed Workshop:  Presented by the Pennsylvania Resources Council.         
Learn how to construct a rain barrel and protect your watershed and water quality on Thursday, April 22, 6:30-8 p.m., in the
