Open House
March 24 & 25 (March 22 for Mrs. Cornibe Only)
Mark Your CalendarJoin us for this very special time on March 24 and 25 as Hance Elementary School hosts its annual Open House.  During the Open House, you will not only have the chance to visit your child's school and individual classroom, but you can also purchase great books at the Scholastic Book Fair.  Following are the details.  (Please note one exception for Mrs. Cornibe's class as she is scheduled to be at a conference during the regular Open House evening.

Monday, March 22, 6-7 p.m.
Mrs. Cornibe's class only
March 24, 6-7 p.m.
First and Second Grade
Book Fair from 6-8 p.m.
March 25, 6-7 p.m.
Kindergarten and Third Grade
Book Fair from 6-8 p.m.

 

Fruit & Veggie Tasting
March Veggie Tasting Features Brussel Sprouts

Brussel sprouts will be featured in this month's Fruit & Veggie Tasting being held on March 26.

Fantastic Fun Friday & Popcorn Dayz
TODAY!!!
Fantastic Fun Friday:
  In honor of "author's month", dress as your favorite book character!

Popcorn Dayz:  Don't forget 25 cents for popcorn during lunch on March 5.  Remember, popcorn must remain in the cafeteria.  For those with allergies, fruit snacks are also available.

 

Spring Book Fair, March 22-26
Book Fair Diner -- All You Can Read
Book Fair DinerThe Spring Book Fair will be held the week of March 22 from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.  The Fair will also be open during Open House on March 24 and 25 from 6-8 p.m.  Click here for details about this year's Fair. 

Volunteers are needed to help make this another success!
Volunteers are needed for set up, take down, during the children's library times, and most importantly, during the Open House.  Click here to volunteer your time! 

One for BooksOne for Books:  Loose change is being collected from Monday, March 8, through Friday, March 12.  Monies raised will be used to purchase Scholastic books for Children's Hospital.  The classroom that raises the most will celebrate with an ice cream party in April. 

 

Campbell's Label Contest!
March 15-April 9
Campbell's Label Contest begins March 15!  The classroom that has the most labels collected will have a party and enjoy "Cameron", the Campbell's Soup Cub as their classroom mascot!  Both of these labels are accepted.

April Birthdays Due March 26! 

If your child has a April birthday, please send his/her picture along with the required permission slip by March 26 to be included on the birthday board.

 

Family Movie Night
Cancelled
Due to the rescheduling of Fun Fair to April 24, we are cancelling the Family Movie Night scheduled for April 16.  Our hope is to have a Family Movie Night next fall.
