Community Can Travel ‘Around World’ without Leaving Home
During Pine-Richland’s Homecoming Festivities Oct. 8 – 10

Community members can travel “Around the World” without leaving home during Pine-Richland’s three-day Homecoming festivities from Oct. 8 - Oct. 10.

Pine-Richland School District will be hosting a parade for the entire community on Thursday, October 8 starting at 6 p.m.

The parade will include Pine-Richland floats, fall sports teams, cheerleaders, color guard, marching band and the Homecoming Court. This year’s theme will be “Around the World.”

If you travel along Warrendale Road (the Red Belt), a portion of the road between Treesdale Drive and the entrance of Pine-Richland High School will close at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 8. The road will re-open after the parade concludes around 6:45 p.m.

The parade will end in the high school stadium parking lot.

After the parade, you'll be able to enjoy food, activity & fundraising booths sponsored by the booster groups and student clubs. For a nominal fee, children will be able to play on inflatable playground equipment in the parking lot. There even will be cow patty bingo. The evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks show sponsored by Tri Rivers Surgical Associates.

The Pine-Richland Football Mothers & The Touchdown Club are hosting an Alumni Night event for football alumni on Friday, Oct. 9. There will be a pre-game reception at the stadium beginning at 5:30 p.m.

“We have a proud tradition of football in the Pine-Richland area, and this is an excellent opportunity to meet Ram football players and coaches from 1956 to 2009,” said organizer Tina Kelly, a representative from the Football Mothers Booster Organization.

The game gets underway at 7:30 p.m. The Rams will take on Butler. The homecoming queen will be crowned at half-time.
