PRMS Orchestra Earns Excellent Rating

The Pine-Richland Middle School Orchestra participated in the Music in the Parks festival at Kennywood. The sixth, seventh and eighth grade orchestra students earned a rating of Excellence on May 3, 2008. Teacher Elisa Mata says the adjudication was held at Norwin High School in the morning. The program moved over to Kennywood Park with an awards ceremony

Growing from 300 students in Hershey, Pennsylvania in 1980 to more than 180,000 students across the country in 2008, Music in the Parks programs has become an annual tradition for one out of every 10 schools in the United States.
