All elementary students receive music instruction. Students
in grades one through five are taught by a music specialist once a week
for a 40 minute period. Kindergarten students receive music instruction
by the classroom teacher. The music program provides students with
musical knowledge along with habits and experiences which will become an
integral part of their adult lives.
Music classes in the Pine-Richland School District focus on listening
and describing music, singing, rhythm and drumming, and instrumental
performance. Additional activities vary at each school. To find
