PR to Celebrate 50 Years
Pine-Richland School District is gearing to celebrate 50 years on March 26, 2008 with the return of some very special alumni. Former and current employees, alumni and community members are invited to attend the celebration, which will begin with a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at 5:30 p.m. in the Pine-Richland High School Cafeteria & Atrium.
The dinner will be $8 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. All proceeds will benefit PROF, which will benefit students in way of scholarships and classroom grants. 
During the special dinner, participants will get a chance to hear special music and theatrical performances and view artwork depicting the past five decades.
At 7 p.m., the community is invited to a complimentary concert of PR’s finest musicians.
During the special program, some of PR’s young musicians will perform, under the direction of the PR Music Department. 1978 graduate Jeff Calhoun will make a visit home for the PR 50 th Celebration.
Calhoun, who is best known for his work on Broadway, is currently directing Disney’s High School Musical on Tour, which is based on the Disney Channel’s original hit movie. The musical is playing at select cities around the US. For more details, visit: www.highschoolmusicalontour.com. Calhoun will make a special announcement during the concert. In addition, some alumni will return to the stage in a special performance, and PROF will kick off its Hall of Fame awards program by honoring alumni.

The program will begin with a special fundraising dinner for the Pine-Richland Opportunities Fund in the Pine-Richland High School Atrium at 5:30 p.m. A special PR's Finest program will take place at 7 p.m.
Special guest and graduate Jeff Calhoun will be on hand. He is a director of the international High School Music World Tour.
