Dear Students, Parents, Staff, Alumni & Community Members:
One of Pine-Richland School District's key strategic initiatives this school year is to design and implement a process for an in-depth program review. We are currently reviewing our Science and Health/Physical Education departments.
A program review is designed to clearly identify strengths and needs within a department and then to develop recommendations to build on the strengths and address the needs. This is accomplished through research, data analysis, and information gathering from external and internal sources. To date, we have spoken with universities, businesses, and other outstanding school districts to learn about trends and best practices related to Science and Health/Physical Education.
We are interested in your input. We have an active, professional community of students and adults who can offer additional insight into each program. Please consider joining our Pine-Richland Program Review Teams for one of two sessions to be hosted in the Pine-Richland High School STEAM Large Group Instruction room, 700 Warrendale Rd. in Gibsonia
- February 21, 2017 from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or
- February 21, 2017 from 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
* Park behind the high school and enter through back entrance of STEAM addition.
The format and content of those sessions will be the same. Participants will be provided with an overview of the program review process and then asked to share insights and perspectives through small group discussions. Two times are offered to provide flexibility for participants.
The session is open to students, parents and community members. Plan to attend either the afternoon or evening session.
During this session, Dr. Brian Miller, superintendent, will also be present to respond to any individual questions on any school-related topics, along with members of the Senior Leadership Team.
The town-hall program is part of the district's strategic plan initiative to engage stakeholders including students, parents and community members.
