FORENSICS: Tomorrow the PRHS Forensics team will host their annual PR Forensics Tournament. This annual tournament is one of the largest forensics tournaments in Western, PA and it has been ongoing at PR for more than 30 years. Best of luck to our forensics team!

MINI-THON: It is that time again, Zumba Night. This Wednesday evening from 6:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Zumba Night will be held in the high school cafeteria. For only $5 you can dance to great music while supporting the Mini-Thon.

ATTENTION SENIOR BOY’S: All 12th grade senior boys’ names will be posted in the front office for Sadie Hawkins voting.   If you do not want your name considered, please see the front office to have it removed prior to Wednesday January 25. 

SADIE HAWKINS KING VOTING: Voting for King will be electronic this year for all high school students. Be sure to check your school emails. The first round voting will be for 11th and 12th grade only. Students, you will have 24 hours to vote starting at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 26th to 7:00 a.m. Friday January 27th. The second round voting will be for all students, 9th through 12th grade. Students will have 24 hours to vote starting at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31st to 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 1st.

SADIE HAWKINS DANCE: The Sadie Hawkins Dance for all 9th through 12 Graders will take place on Saturday, February 4th from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The doors close at 7:30 p.m. Early Bird tickets will be on sale for $10 each during all lunch periods starting January 23rd through the 27th. Tickets will increase to $15 each and can be purchased in room 45 before and after school from January 30th through February 3rd. Any teachers interested in chaperoning should contact Mrs. Adams or Mrs. Brough. Lastly, mini bottles of water are needed for the dance. These donations can be dropped off in front office.

SKI & BOARD CLUB: The Club trip for today has been rescheduled to February 10th.

GLOBAL RELATIONS CLUB: The next meeting of the Global Relations Club will be after school in Mr. Robert's room 38 on Tuesday, January 24th.

ATTENTION SENIORS: Diploma papers have been passed out in your homeroom. Please fill it out with your first, middle and last name. Return it to the Principal's or the Main Office. Also, if you have not ordered a cap and gown for graduation see Mrs. Morrow in the Principal's office to get an order form. Currently the cost is $19.75. You need to know how tall you are and how much you weigh. 

CROSS CULTURAL FOOD DRIVE: PR’s Interact Club is holding a Cross Cultural Food Drive to help local food pantries and food banks serve refugees all around the world. The food drive ends Friday January 27th. Interact Club suggests these culturally appropriate foods as donations: rice, noodles, lentils, vegetable oil, beans, dried soy beans, chickpeas, dried dates, dried figs, curry powder, and puffed rice cereal to name a few. Please no perishable foods or glass containers.

SPIRE & CO: Members of Spire & Co. have a meeting on Monday, January 23rd. They will be hosting a Zumba class. Members should dress comfortably and bring a $15 check for a t-shirt. The checks should be made payable to Hailey West.

SCHEDULE CHANGE FORMS: The schedule change forms for second semester classes will be available online and in the guidance office. Forms can be dropped off in the guidance office.

BEATTIE CAREER CENTER: Anyone interested in attending the Beattie Career Center field trip on Friday, January 27th from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. needs to return a completed Permission Form to the Guidance Office by Monday, January 23rd.  Students can pick up the permission form in the Guidance office.   Space is limited to the first 40 students. Parent signature is required.  

YEARBOOK: Time is running out for your chance to order a yearbook. Go to to order your book. Enter Pine-Richland without a dash. Please email if you have any questions.

ATTENDANCE OFFICE: The National College Fair will be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh on February 9th and 10th. Thursday, February 9th is the excused absence day for juniors only.  Please see Mrs. Dyer in the attendance office for an excused absence form or check your Naviance account for detailed information and a copy of the attendance form. All attendance forms, with the required teacher signatures, must be turned into Mrs. Dyer by February 6th. Freshman and sophomore students are encouraged to attend Thursday evening with their parents. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Whalen in the Guidance Office.


Lebanon Valley College is offering an Actuarial Science Summer Camp. Their actuarial science summer camp is a week-long intensive program for rising high school seniors designed to help them decide if they are interested in actuarial work. Applications and additional information, including cost can be found on their website.

BOY’S TENNIS: Anyone interested in playing on the Boys Tennis team this spring - there will be an informational meeting after school Tuesday January 24 in the Athletic Office.

WRESTLING: Good luck to the Varsity and JV teams. Today and tomorrow the Rams will compete in the Allegheny County Tournament. The tournament will begin at 10:00 a.m. today and 9:00 a.m. tomorrow. The tournament will be held at Fox Chapel High School.

BOY’S BASKETBALL: Tonight the Varsity team will be at Steel Valley. The game begins at 6:00 p.m.

GIRL’S BASKETBALL: Tomorrow the Varsity and JV teams will take on Connellsville at home. The JV game is at 2:00 p.m. followed by the Varsity game at 3:30 p.m.
