Pine-Richland High School Air Force JROTC cadets will be hosting their third annual drill meet on December 17, 2016 starting at 10 a.m. Nearly 250 cadets will compete in the Armed & Unarmed Drill, Color Guard, Uniform Inspection with Basic Air Force Knowledge Questions, Academic Quiz Bowl, Armed & Unarmed Exhibition and Competitive Knockout, which incorporates testing drill moves to determine the last cadet standing. This is a cadet led event that will be bringing in 10 schools that have an Air Force JROTC unit to compete and will be judged by both Air Force and Army active duty personnel volunteering their time on a Saturday. Organizers will be presenting trophies to the top three finishers in 11 separate events and medals to the top 10 finishers in two separate knockout events. Major Michael Morrison and Chief Michael Gasparetto oversee the program.
