PRMS Students Published & Earn Writing Awards
A national humor magazine is honoring two Pine-Richland Middle School students with writing awards. The Funny Paper named eighth grader Katie Georgiadis as the winner of this year's 2007
Stories for Children Competition. She earned the award for her story entitled "Surprise!". She received $100 as a prize. Eighth grader Michael Feldman was recognized for his humorous poem entitled "One Cool Kid" and received $25 for his efforts. English Teacher Dr. Susan Frantz said both pieces were recently published in The Funny Paper and were written for English class with the intent of being submitted to the contest.
