Dear Pine-Richland Families (Grades 7-12):Starting with the 2020-21 school year, the Pine-Richland School District (PRSD) will be partnering with Allegheny Health Network (AHN) Sports Medicine for all of its student athletic training needs. We are excited about the variety of supports and resources that AHN will work to provide to our student-athletes, families, and community. Through AHN, we will now be offering Healthy Roster – a free mobile website program connecting parents and coaches directly with their licensed athletic trainer to improve the quality of care and communication for our student-athletes.The app will give parents access to their athletic trainers via chat, voice, or video. It also provides injury tracking and updates, guardian and parent accounts, and one overall account for multiple children. The program is Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliant – meaning your child’s information is secure and available only to the individuals you choose.
The PRSD Athletic Department will be using Healthy Roster to also collect all Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA), AHN and Pine-Richland School District Physical and Sports Participation paperwork for all student-athletes in grades 7-12. All forms will be available in sign-off format – no printing and uploading of multiple forms. The only form you will need to print and upload will be the actual doctor’s physical (PIAA Comprehensive Initial Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation (CIPPE) Section 6). All Sports Physical paperwork must be completed prior to the start of the season. Students only need to submit one physical form per school year.
Additionally, the Healthy Roster will be used for PRSD Athletics registration. No additional forms will be necessary. Roster lists will be provided to all coaches after physical forms have been submitted.
