Email: jminsinger@pinerichland.orgDr. Jacob Minsinger began serving as the assistant principal at Pine-Richland Middle School in November of 2018.
Prior, Dr. Minsinger served as a seventh and eighth-grade English language arts teacher at West Allegheny Middle School, where he gained valuable experience aligning the curriculum with the new standards.
He also served on the novel and anthology selection committee and participated in a text-dependent analysis study with the National Center for the Improvement of Educational Assessment and the PA Department of Education. Prior he worked as a long-term substitute seventh-grade reading teacher in the Avonworth School District.
Dr. Minsinger earned a Doctorate of Education from the University of Pittsburgh School of Education where his dissertation focused on studying middle school analytic writing instructional practices. He also received his Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction Certification from the University of Pittsburgh; a Master of Science & Instructional Leadership with principal’s certification from Robert Morris University and a Bachelor of Science in Education in Middle-Level Education.
“I was drawn to Pine Richland because of its mission of focusing on learning for every student every day,” said Dr. Minsinger. “This mission is consistent with what I view as the heart of education. My primary goal in transitioning to the position of middle school assistant principal is to ensure that this mission is carried out for all of our students. I am excited to join this dynamic group of educators as we all work to accomplish this mission together.”
