    • Pine-Richland Ranks as one of top US Public High Schools
      • The Washington Post ranks PRHS 2nd in the region and number 13 statewide in its "Most Challenging HIgh School" rankings for 2017 in which a Challenge Index calculation. The Challenge Index measures how well and effectively schools across the United States prepare their students for college. 
      • US News & World ranks ranks Pine-Richland High School as firs tin Allegheny County and seventh in the state in its "Top High School Rankings" in 2017. 

    • Pine-Richland School District ranks in top 10 of region.
      • "The Pittsburgh Business Times" ranks PRSD number 8 out of 105 school districts in the region and 29th in the state in its 2017 list of rankings.

    • The Pennsylvania Department of Education Division of Federal Programs honored Richland Elementary School as a 2017 Distinguished Title I School for a fifth year for ranking in the top five percent of Title I Schools in PA based on aggregate math and English language arts PSSA scores.

    • Eden Hall Upper Elementary and Wexford Elementary schools were named to the Healthy Schools PA High Honor Roll for meeting rigorous criteria, which included testing for radon and drinking water as well as starting a program.

    • Eden Hall Upper Elementary School Principal Steven Smith earned the Pennsylvania’s 2017 National Distinguished Principal Award for his commitment to increasing student achievement and creating an environment in which students thrive.

    • Pine-Richland High School Counselor Leslie Straub earned the 2017 National Students in Action Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award.
