• Native Americans in Pennsylvania...

    In the Library:

    1. Use Destiny to find a book on your Native American tribe.
    2. Use an encyclopedia to find an article on your Native American tribe.  Use the letter volume for your tribe.

    On the Internet:

    Note: When searching for information using these resources, you may want to include the word “tribe” and your tribe name.  For example, “Delaware tribe.”
    1. Use Grolier to look up your specific tribe.
    2. Visit Pennsylvania Indians page on the Access Genealogy website.  Click on the link for your specific tribe.
    3. Use the Facts For Learning Reference Library to read about Native Tribes of the Northeast.  Click on the link for your specific tribe.
    4. Visit Native Languages of the Americas.  Scroll down to the section called “Featured Native American Tribes.”  Click on the link for your specific tribe.
    5. After you have tried all of the above, ask Mrs. S. to help you use a search engine to find a reliable website about your specific tribe.
