Pine-Richland School District Food Services

The Pine-Richland School District's Food Service program has been managed by Sodexo for more than 30 years.  Nutrition is the cornerstone of our ongoing foodservice partnership, providing healthy breakfasts, lunches, and snacks so that your students are ready to perform at their highest levels in the classroom, on the sports field and in life.  With menus aligned with the high standards of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act students have the option of a deliciously wholesome and nutritious meal each day.  Our menus feature a variety of fresh foods and tastes that help meet students' requests.

When reviewing our menus, you will see that we focus on the menu items for the age we are serving.  Sodexo provides four different menu options at Pine-Richland School District to meet the different ages and different nutritional needs of each school.  

The tastes and expectations of elementary students revolve around food, friends, and fun.  Our Clubhouse Elementary program focuses on colorful items that help to entice and motivate students to select from a variety of entrees.  Students add their preferred fruit, vegetable and milk to create a nutritionally balanced meal.  Colorful signs and promotional themes focus on building friendship and staying active.  Students in Eden Hall have the choice of additional entrees and items that are geared towards the 4-6 grade students. 

The Did You Know Cafe program was created especially for today's middle school students.  The Did You Know Cafe menu provides healthy and nutritious options to help students enhance their overall well-being and classroom performance. Middle school students who have a more challenging time getting up in the morning can stop in the cafeteria for a quick hot or cold breakfast for only $1.30.

This morning start can give them the added energy they need to get through their classes in the morning.  The Did You Know Cafe promotional posters focus on fun and interesting brain teasers that test the student's knowledge of a variety of colorful topics. 

Our Taste4 High School menu features flavors from around the world.  Featured flavors from Mexico, Asia, American Regional and the Mediterranean will make this menu worth sampling.  The menu will rotate featured pop-up stations; Overslept, Strutters, Chopsticks, Tater Temptation, Fiesta, BBQ and Twirls.  Fridays will have "Friday Favorites" of Mac and Cheese, Walking Talking, Hot Turkey Sandwiches and more.  Students have also enjoyed our new homemade daily and featured sauces that can be used to top your sandwich; Cilantro Lime Crema, Creamy Sriracha Sauce,  Pesto Ranch, Thai Chili Sauce and Chipotle Lime Sauce.  Grab-n-Go sandwiches and Salads will also have featured specials each week; Sweet Thai Chili Chicken Sandwich, Mexican Tinga Sub, Jerk Chicken Salad.  The flavors were created to match the growing flavor palate of your older students.

MEAL SERVICE

Breakfast and Lunch meals are served in each building daily.  Breakfast is a boost for students' focus on learning.  Each lunch is composed of 5 food components; meat, grain, vegetables, fruit, and milk.  Students must select one serving of fruit or one serving of vegetable along with at least 2 other components to qualify as a school meal.  We encourage students to choose all 5 components for the same price.  Incomplete meals will be charged at la carte prices.  Students who have qualified for the free or reduced meal program must follow the above meal options to qualify for the program.

APP Changes

SchoolCafe App will continue to allow families to create a free account to pay online or monitor what your student is buying.  Sodexo has introduced a new App called SoHappy that provides the menu and nutritional information for families.  Please visit Pinerichlandsd.Sodexomyway.com  or use the SoHappy App to see our menu and see allergy and nutritional information.
