    ENERGY CONVERSIONS

Mrs. Wippenbeck's students will have science from October 26th-November 11th.

All Slides are posted in the Google Classroom as materials. This is made available to all students so that they can view the lesson if there are any absences due to band/orchestra lessons, speech,  or absences for any reason.

    WEEK OF: November 4-6th

In Chapter 2, students investigate the question What makes the devices in Ergstown output energy or fail to output energy? They engage with a digital simulation, read informational texts, and build simple electrical systems to learn about energy converters. Through a demonstration, they learn that energy has to come from somewhere and that if there isn’t enough energy in the system to meet demand, the system won’t function. The chapter ends with students writing the first of several design arguments in which they support a claim about the best solution for reducing blackouts in Ergstown.
