Jennifer Bowers is one of four guidance counselors at Pine-Richland High School. Bowers has been counseling at the high school for 13 years. Her career has spanned for more than 19 years.
Bowers graduated from Seneca Valley High School in 1987 and soon after, attended Slippery Rock University, where she majored in Music Therapy, with an emphasis on Voice. After graduation Cum Laude, she worked as a Registered, Board Certified Music Therapist at Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.
After three years away from home, she decided to return to her hometown and pursue a Master's Degree in School Counseling, again at Slippery Rock University. Upon receiving her Master's in Education, she worked briefly as a Mobile Therapist before being hired as a Long Term Substitute Counselor at Carson Middle School in the North Allegheny School District. At the same time, she was an interim professor in the music department at SRU, where she taught a course in the "The Psychology of Music".
