PR Boys Basketball Team Seeks State Title

Game Details
Congratulations to the Pine-Richland High School Varsity Boys Basketball Team as they prepare to play in the PIAA Championship Game on March 25, 2017.  The Rams won the semi-final game against Carlisle 65-60. Read a recap on the game.  With the victory, they are moving move on to the state championship game against Reading. The game will be played this Saturday at the Giant Center in Hershey at 8 p.m.

Tickets

The Pine-Richland boys' game is part of the evening session ticket. 
At this time the Giant Center is not selling additional tickets for Saturday's evening session. Each participating school receives an allotment of tickets to be sold through the district. If any allotted tickets are not sold, they will be returned to the Giant Center for additional sale. PRHS will sell remaining tickets from our allotment on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 8-10 a.m. in the front lobby of the high school, located at 700 Warrendale Rd. in Gibsonia. Tickets are $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for students.
 
Please be advised that this event may be sold out and tickets would not be available at the Giant Center


Broadcasting
The Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN), in partnership with Greenfish Labs, Inc., will produce the first live broadcast of high school basketball in virtual reality on Saturday, March 25, 2017.  Fans will be virtually transported to the Giant Center for the PIAA Girls 5A and Boys 6A Championships with a live 360 degree view of the arena. The VR feed begins at 6 p.m. and immerses users in the sights and sounds of the championships. Fans around the globe can catch every pass, play, and basket courtside with complete control of the camera.  The VR stream is accessible online at

WPIAL Info
The team  earned a back-to-back WPIAL Championships. The team earned the first WPIAL Class 6A boys title on March 5, 2017 with a 72-61 victory over No. 7 Butler at the University of Pittsburgh Petersen Events Center. The team earned the Class AAAA title one year ago.  
   
 
Wrestler Competes in PIAAs
Senior Hunter Baxter placed 2nd in the WPIAL and qualified for PIAA States. Wrestlers competed in the WPIAL Championship matches. To read more, click here.  
 
Swimmer Competes in PIAAs
Senior swimmer Ryan Schonbachler earned a medal for seventh place in the 200 freestyle and earned a WPIAL first-place gold medal in 500 freestyle. He will compete at states. Read more...

Divers Qualify for PIAAs
Pine-Richland Diver Austin Shaw and Maddie Huitt will compete in the PIAA State Championships on March  26, 201*7 at Bucknell University. Austin placed third at WPIALs on Feb. 25, 2017 and Maddie placed fourth. Mallory Charles placed sixth at WPIALs. Lady Rams Earn Play in WPIAL Quarterfinals
Congratulations to the Pine-Richland Lady Rams Basketball Team who played in the WPIAL quarterfinals. Bethel Park took the win 52-44 on Feb. 24, 2017. Read the recap in the Post-Gazette article and the Tribune Review.
 
Competitive Team Earns Seventh Place Nationally
The Pine-Richland High School Competitive Cheer Team placed seventh in the nation in the Small Varsity D1 Division and ninth in the Medium Game-Day Division at the United Cheerleading Association’s National High School Cheerleading Championships on February 11-12, 2017 in Orlando. The team placed second at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Competition on Jan. 21, 2017 in Hershey, Pa.
