Welcome to Eden Hall's Counselor Corner for Mrs. Coker.
School Counseling is a support for all students at Eden Hall! Each grade level has a counselor assigned but we are all here to help.
Mrs. Coker grew up in Indianola, PA in a town very close to Pine-Richland and graduated from high school in 1992. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 1996. After which time, she transitioned to the University of Pittsburgh where she earned her Masters of Social Work degree in 1998. Shortly thereafter, Mrs. Coker went on to receive her licence in social work and spent time working with various community agencies in Allegheny County. Much of her work was with children and families and helping them learn to get along better. After 20 years in the social work field, Mrs. Coker decided to return to school and pursue her certification to become a school counselor. Mrs. Coker received her school counseling certification in 2008 from Duquesne University and was thereafter hired by Pine-Richland to begin work at Eden Hall Upper Elementary School. Mrs. Coker has been with Eden Hall since the beginning and has enjoyed working with the students and families in the district. Mrs. Coker looks forward to helping students develop personally and academically, as well as prepare for their transition to the middle school.
In her free time, Mrs. Coker enjoys shopping, traveling, crafting, and going to the movies. Most of all, Mrs. Coker enjoys spending time with her husband, Mr. Coker and her two year old son, Aiden.
