  • PR Wrestling Team Takes 4th-Place Finish

    Pine-Richland entered the tournament with just 10 wrestlers, for 14 weight classes. The outnumbered team managed to bring home the fourth place trophy with a total team effort.

  • Boys Basketball Enjoys 11-Game Winning Streak

    The Pine-Richland Boy's Basketball team defeated the Central Catholic Vikings 66 - 63. The team is currently enjoying an eleven game winning streak. The team was led in scoring by Dan Petcash who contributed 20 points, Levi Wentz had a significant impact on the game contributing 12 points.

  • Senior Golfer Qualifies for Spot in U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball Championship in April

    Senior Lauren Freyvogel earned a spot in the U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball Championship April 23 - May 1, 2019. Lauren, who earned the 2017 PIAA AAA State Golf Championship will play alongside North Allegheny's Caroline Wrigley.

  • HS Varsity Basketball Defeats North Hills

    The PR Boys Basketball team defeated North Hills 92 - 67 on January 11, 2019, at home. With the victory, the Rams maintained their undefeated section record. The victory also allowed the Rams to maintain it's first place position in their section. The Rams take on Central Catholic Jan. 14, 2019.

  • Girls Varsity Basketball Beats North Hills

    The PRHS Girls Varsity Basketball Team beat North Hills 48-44 on January 10, 2019, at home. The team lost to North Allegheny 28-56 at home on and 29-55 to Trinity during an away game. The team is scheduled to play Shaler on the road on January 14, 2019, and Norwin on January 17, 2019, at home. On January 22, 2019, the team will take on Fox Chapel on the road.

  • Ice Hockey Goes Undefeated

    Congratulations to several Pine-Richland High School Ice Hockey Varsity players were chosen to play in the PIHL All-Star Game on Jan. 27, 2019, at Robert Morris University and for the team beating Hempfield. Next up, the team takes on Armstrong on Jan. 17, 2019 at the Belmont Ice Complex.

  • PR Boys Basketball Beats Butler

    Pine-Richland Boys Basketball beat Butler 79-74 on January 8, 2019. The Rams were led in scoring by senior Dan Petcash who contributed 28 points. Colin Luellon scored 18 points and Greg Shulkosky contributed 17 points in a winning effort for the Rams who improved their season record to 10 - 3 overall, 3 - 0 in section play.

  • Competitive Cheer Team Earns Bid to PIAAs

    The Pine-Richland High School Competitive Cheerleading Squad placed second in the Small Varsity Division and fourth overall in the WPIAL Championships hosted at Hempfield High School on January 5, 2019. The squad was up against 21 teams at WPIALs.The team earned a bid to the PIAAs, which will be held on January 11-12, 2019 in Hershey, PA.

  • PR Basketball To Take on Butler

    The Pine-Richland Varsity Basketball Team has a home conference game against Butler on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at 7:30 p.m. The match-up will be one to watch. If you are heading to the game, please make note that the game will be heavily attended, so arrive early to the Pine-Richland High School's gymnasium. Pine-Richland is 9-2 and Butler is 10-2 overall. Each is 2-0 in conference play.

  • Boys Basketball Wins CJ Betters Tournament

    The Pine-Richland High School Boys Varsity Basketball Team won the CJ Betters Holiday Tournament Championship, which was held at Community College of Beaver Country on December 28, 2018. PR beat Beaver Falls 69-29 in the title game and beat Lincoln Park 87-78.

  • Girls Soccer Players Earn Accolades

    Pine-Richland High School Girls Soccer players are receiving many honors. Senior Alaina Kalin was named to the All-State and United Soccer Coaches Regional All-American Team. Alaina has signed her National Letter of Intent to play soccer next year at Division 1 Indiana. Sophomore Megan Donnelly was named to the All-State and to United Soccer Coaches All-American Team.

  • Swim Team Opens Season

    The Pine-Richland Swimming & Diving Team opened up for the season on December 18, 2018. Coach Pete Barry said the evening was a fun and exciting meet as the Rams took on Fox Chapel. He said while the overall outcome was not in PR's favor, the athletes performed well throughout the competition.

  • Wrestling Team Pins Down Tournament Title

    It was a first for Pine-Richland High School Varsity Wrestling Team. They entered the North Hills Duals as a young team with no seniors but managed to bring home an unblemished 5-0 record over the competition on December 15, 2018

    Tyler King, a RB/LB and senior class member of the Pine-Richland WPIAL Championship Football team, has been selected to play in the International Bowl at AT&T Stadium in Arlington Texas, on Jan.18, 2019.

    Pine-Richland High School senior football offensive tackle Andrew Kristofic was invited to play in the All-American Bowl. The game will take place in San Antonio, Texas on Jan. 5, 2019.

  • Football Team Makes It To PIAAs

    The Pine-Richland Football Team played its last game of the year on Dec. 1, 2018. After earning the WPIAL Championship Title, the team made it to the semifinal round of the PIAAs and was stopped by St. Joe’s Preparatory School. Congratulation goes out to the team and coaches.
