The Benjamin Franklin Scholar Award is open to public high school students in Pennsylvania in their junior year. The top recipient will receive the $1,500 Scholarship in memory of one of our PACAC founding fathers, Benjamin James. The other three recipients will receive a $1,000 Scholarship. Pennsylvania JCI Senate Scholarship Program: Each year, the U.S. Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senate Foundation grants $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools. The number of grants awarded annually is at the discretion of the Foundation and must be used for educational expenses in the first year of full-time study. Hermine Solt Student Scholarship: The Pennsylvania Association of Educational Office Professionals' Student Scholarship Fund was established in 1992 for the purpose of aiding students in Pennsylvania to pursue higher education in a business-related field. The Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation has announced the 2017 Landmarks Scholarship Award. This scholarship is awarded to at least one student in Allegheny County who is interested in the history, architecture, and landscape design of the Pittsburgh region. Students must answer the essay question: "Please tell us about a place in Allegheny County that is important to you. Briefly explain the significance of the history, architecture, and/or landscape design of the place. Then, focus on how the place has affected you personally."
