Dear Students and Families,
Thank you for your patience, kindness, hard work, and resiliency during this virtual/distance learning plan period. As a high school counseling team, we know how often you take the opportunity to make an appointment to see your counselor during your study hall or lunch period and want to ensure that we are working to make ourselves virtually available to you. For now:
How We Will Communicate: Using the American School Counselor Association’s guidelines, we plan to continue to support you by communicating with students primarily using school email accounts and parent phone contact information in Home Access. We will hold office hours from 9:00-11:00 and 12:30-2:30 each weekday. We will be available to answer your questions via telephone or email during these times.
“Bridge” Opportunity: We recognize you are currently receiving a “Bridge Assignment” from each teacher you have. While we don’t want to overwhelm you with an additional “assignment”, we also want to provide you with an opportunity to stay connected with us. Therefore, you should have received an email from your counselor today sharing a “Bridge” Opportunity. Feel free to complete this opportunity at your convenience. Deep breath- there is no due date for this!
Ultimately, our team wishes for all of you to stay safe and healthy so that we can return to our regular 2019-2020 school year as soon as possible. We encourage you to follow what the CDC recommends: cough into your elbow, wash your hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds, and stay home! We also encourage you to follow what Mrs. Bowman said on Friday: Take a deep breath and remember, we are all in this together.
