K-3 Schedule

  • If there is a two-hour delay, nothing changes from the traditional approach except for kindergarten*. We delay and then transport students to the schools.

If there is a closure, we will have school via virtual learning. We need both the hours and days to meet requirements. It will include a two-hour block at the beginning of the day for students to study, complete homework, and make progress on projects. This asynchronous period will allow students to get organized and staff to finalize preparations. Synchronous learning will then begin with shortened periods of learning.

    Kindergarten

*Kindergarten must follow a two-hour delay schedule in both the two-hour delay scenario and the school closure.  Kindergarten will NOT have specials on these days.  Students in AM Kindergarten should log in (closure) or arrive (two-hour delay) at 11:20 a.m. and PM Kindergarten should log in (closure) or arrive (two-hour delay) at 2:05 pm. The Kindergarten two-hour delay and closure schedule is below:

    Morning Session: 11:20 am - 1:05 pm
    Afternoon Session: 2:05 pm - 3:50 pm

    Grades 1-3

In grades 1-3, at Hance, Richland and Wexford Elementary, students will follow their schedule starting at 11:15 am to participate in a morning meeting and attendance, and then will begin class officially at 11:30 am.

In grades 1-3,  if there is a closure, there will be a two-hour period for asynchronous learning, self-study, sleeping in or sledding. On closure days, students will log in to engage in synchronous learning at 11:15 am for attendance, participating in a morning meeting and instruction. Instruction will end at 3:35 pm.  Any schedule adjustments beyond this will be communicated by the classroom teacher.
