2021 Policy Updates
As part of a cyclical review process, the PR School Board and Administration review and approve policies. This year to date, batch Policies 600 Finances and 700 Property were reviewed, revised, and board approved. Miscellaneous policies, including policies 124 Alternative Instruction and 204 Attendance were also approved.
In January 2021, Policy 103 Nondiscrimination/Title IX Sexual Harassment Affecting Students was approved. Revisions were made to comply with new regulations implementing Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 identifying specific roles and individuals within the investigatory process, increase training for investigatory staff, and require the district to post certain information prominently on the district’s website. The district is in the process of updating other related policies to reflect the new regulations and the updated investigatory procedures.
