• Expansion

The PRHS Expansion Project has been in the works for many years. The school board approved the Pine-Richland High School Expansion Committee on Oct. 16, 2007.  The committee was made up of administrators, teachers, board members, students and community members.

Their diversity and expertise provided the foundation for the committee, which helped address the schools needs and any associated challenges. In all, we had 22 community members, 15 administrators and other staff members and seven students.

After much discussion and research, the committee developed a report which addressed the needs of a growing student body. Some of the criteria the group addressed were personalization and rigor, global competitiveness, college readiness, safety and security, cost effectiveness and a stimulating learning design.
