    Peter Lyons joined the board in 2011.  He has served as Pine-Richland board president for six years.  He was also elected by fellow school board members from around Allegheny County to two three-year terms with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit Board of Directors.

    Mr. Lyons is an institutional fixed income portfolio manager with BNY Mellon in Pittsburgh. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Mr. Lyons managed mutual funds for Toronto Dominion Bank in New York City, including the award-winning US Government Cash Management Fund.  He was also a member of Toronto Dominion Bank's Asset-Liability Committee, responsible for balancing investment requirements of a multi-billion dollar portfolio against current and future obligations of the bank. 

    Mr. Lyons has extensive experience establishing appropriate investment policies and implementing compliance systems and processes to ensure their effective execution.  Over the years he has worked closely with rating agencies and the Securities and Exchange Commission as part of his fiduciary duties to clients and shareholders. Before working in investment management he was a Senior Consultant with Accenture, Ltd. (formerly Andersen Consulting), specializing in the strategic integration of financial reporting systems. 

    Mr. Lyons received a B.A. from Tufts University, where he was recognized with the Houston Award for mastery of economics and responsible citizenship.  He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Pittsburgh.  

    Lyons resides in Pine Township.
