Jeff Calhoun
Richland High School Class of 1978
Jeff Calhoun has directed and choreographed many award-winning productions including Deaf West's production of Big River. He was producer as well as a director/choreographer for the Broadway production of Brooklyn the Musical. He directed and choreographed the 1994 Broadway revival of Grease! The show Tommy Tune Tonight was his Broadway directing debut. He collaboration with Mr. Tune led to the 1991 Tony for Best Choreography. He is the director of both the US and United Kingdom productions of Disney's High School Musical: On Tour. Calhoun is an associate artist at Ford's Theatre in Washington, DC.Stephen Frick
Stephen Frick earned a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from the US Naval Academy and a master of science degree in aeronautical engineering from the US Naval Postgraduate School. Frick reported to the Johnson Space Center in August of 1996, after being selected to NASA. Frick, a veteran of two spaceflights, has logged nearly 600 hours in space. He was the crew commander of STS-122, a 12-day mission that delivered the European Space Agency's Columbus laboratory and touched down on February 20, 2008. Frick was the first person to be inducted into the PR Alumni Hall of Fame on May 19, 2008.
Dr. James Manley
Former Superintendent
Dr. James C. Manley served as superintendent of the Pine-Richland School District from 2000-2009. Those who worked with him appreciated his vision and his work on transforming the district to even higher standards. At the time of his retirement, he was the most senior superintendent in the Pittsburgh area. He earned the Distinguished Educator award by the Tri-State School Study Council, University of Pittsburgh, and the PA Superintendent of the Year award. He earned bachelor and master degrees from the University of Dayton and a Ph.D. in education from the University of Pittsburgh. He served as a teacher and counselor in several districts in Ohio as well as coordinator of public services and assistant superintendent in two Pittsburgh suburban school districts before being appointed superintendent of the Northgate School District in 1982. He has served as a consultant to more than 30 school districts in the U.S. on leadership and quality management. Dr. Manley was inducted in June 2009.
Martin McKinney
Former Pine Elementary Student
Martin McKinney is a long-time member of the community. He has been involved with Together for Retarded Youth (TRY), Inc. for many years and is a life member of the Wexford Volunteer Fire Company. McKinney served three years a chairman of the Pine Township Historical Committee. While dedicating 13 years to the Sharing and Caring organization, McKinney helped oversee a program in which organizers hosted a day-trip on the Gateway Clipper for veterans who were disabled. He served the US during the Korean War era as a member of an Army Engineer Battalion.
Jonathan Passavant
Jonathan Passavant has participated in several mission trips helping to rebuild a school in Haiti, working at a camp in El Salvador and aiding those afflicted by genocide in Rwanda. He has served as a spokesperson for Estee Lauder and has worked for many other top retailers during his career in modeling. Passavant, who was the first male model to be offered a contract with a global cosmetic company, was named by Cosmopolitan as one of the top five male models in the world. In 2006, he used his status to fund a group called Model Home Project in which models built homes for Habitat for Humanity.
