When Pine-Richland School District Is Closed
When Pine-Richland School District is closed and Beattie is in session, the district will send school buses to pick up students at their bus stops and return them at the end of their Beattie session. The only exception is when the district is closed due to inclement weather and the district does not operate school buses.
Beattie is open and Pine-Richland is closed on the following 2025-2026 dates:
- October 24, 2025
- November 6, 2025
- November 7, 2025
- December 22, 2025
- December 23, 2025
- March 23, 2026
- March 30, 2026
- March 31, 2026
- April 1, 2026
- May 1, 2026
Students should indicate via a sign-up sheet in the front office of Pine-Richland High School a week prior to each of the above dates whether or not they will need transportation or by completing a quick questionnaire. This will allow for clear communication to the bus transportation company. The questionnaire link will remain the same throughout the school year.
When A.W. Beattie Is Closed
AM Beattie Students
On days when Beattie is closed, AM Beattie students can ride the bus to school in the morning and wait in the library until their afternoon high school classes begin. If students prefer, they can get a ride to school to come in later when their day at PRHS begins.*
PM Beattie Students
PM students can wait in the library until the end of the PRHS school day or they can be picked up after their last high school class.*
*If a student is not riding the bus and is being picked up or dropped off, he or she should submit a note to the front office.

When Pine-Richland Has an Early Dismissal
When PR has an early dismissal, and Beattie is following a regular schedule, PM Beattie students will be transported to Beattie and then home. AM Beattie students would ride the bus home as usual.
