Food Services

Pine-Richland School District's Food Service program is managed by Chartwells K12. Chartwells is passionate about creating delicious, kid-approved food that nourishes bodies and minds and supports development at this critical time in students’ lives. Chartwells aims to transform cafeterias into inviting spaces where students want to be, bringing a sense of happiness to each meal as they connect with friends and refuel for the day ahead.
Meal Service
Breakfast and lunch meals are served in each building daily. Breakfast is a boost for students' focus on learning. Each lunch is composed of five food components: meat, grain, vegetables, fruit and milk. Students must select one serving of fruit or one serving of vegetables along with at least two other components to qualify as a school meal. We encourage students to choose all five components for the same price. Incomplete meals will be charged at a la carte prices. Students who have qualified for the free or reduced meal program must follow the above meal options to qualify for the program.
Menus and Accounts
Menus are posted on Nutrislice. Chartwells aims to help students and their parents prioritize healthy food choices and understand ingredients to help protect their children from allergic reactions. Through Nutrislice, students, parents and faculty have access to school menus, including nutrition information, allergens and photos, available on desktop and mobile devices. Nutrislice can be downloaded for free from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Learn how to download the Nutrislice app here, and use this link for instructions on navigating Nutrislice.
Chartwells is committed to providing a safe environment for all students during meal times and understands the importance of providing accurate nutrition information for students to make informed choices for their health and well-being. Chartwells strictly adheres to USDA regulations for accommodating children with special dietary needs through a comprehensive food allergy and medical conditions protocol. Chartwells is proud to be the first in the child nutrition industry to have their allergen management training courses certified by Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE), which all directors and managers complete annually. Chartwells maintains an ingredient, recipe and menu database, Webtrition, that can be used to assist managers when modifying menus. Through the Nutrislice app, parents and students can view nutrition information and top allergens for all menu items, putting more power in their hands to make informed food choices.
