Meal Prices

The 2024-2025 Budget for Pennsylvania includes free breakfast at school for all students, regardless of status.

2024-2025 Meal Prices

  Paid K-6 Paid 7-12 Reduced K-12 Free K-12
Daily Meal $2.60 $2.85 $0 $0
Breakfast $0 $0 $0 $0

If your student participates in the free and reduced meal program, only one breakfast and one lunch each day are covered. If your student chooses a second entree, second meal or snack item, you will need to have money in the account to cover the cost.

For our Full Pay students, lunch for elementary students is $2.60 and secondary students is $2.85.  If your student is planning to purchase a second entree, second meal or snack item, it is the expectation that the meal account will be funded at all times.  Families are encouraged to monitor students' purchases on SchoolCafe and set low-balance reminders.

If you believe your household would be within the Free & Reduced threshold, please complete an application »

Payment Methods

Setting Up a Food Services Account

A free online account can be created at www.schoolcafe.com to monitor student balances and to request automatic low-balance email reminders. If paying by check, please provide a student name and student ID number. Checks should be written out to Pine-Richland Cafeteria Fund (PRCF) and can be mailed to the PR Food Services Department, which is located at 700 Warrendale Rd., Gibsonia, PA 15044 or given to the student's teacher for elementary students and handed to the cashier for secondary students. If you would like to place any restrictions on your student’s meal account, please contact the food service department at 724-625-3550 or complete the Meal Restrictions Form.

Meal Payments

Parents have three options for monitoring and making payments to their student's meal accounts.

Pay Online
Pay online at www.schoolcafe.com.  View your child's purchase history and make payments.  Payments can be set up automatically or add money as needed.  A convenience fee will be charged at the time of payment.  Payments will update to your account within 24-48 hours- but as quickly as 30 minutes.  You can set up an alert to notify you when your student's meal account has fallen below the amount you have specified.  We recommend you set up the low balance reminder at $10.00 to provide families with enough time to add additional funds.

Pay By Check
When sending a check, have your student hand the check to their teacher for kindergarten through sixth-grade students.  Those students in 7-12th grade may hand the check to the cashier during breakfast or lunch service.  Make checks payable to the Pine-Richland Cafeteria Fund or PRCF and please record your student's name and student ID number on the check.  We recommend you place your check in an envelope with your student's information.

Create Online Account/Pay By Check
We have many parents/guardians who would like to monitor their student's meal habits, but continue to send a check in with the student.  It is FREE to create an online account at  www.schoolcafe.com, monitor your student's eating habits and create low-balance alerts.  The only time you are charged a fee is if you choose to pay online.  We recommend all families create an account to monitor spending.

It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to pay for any accrued meal charges.  For more information, please review the Pine-Richland Charging Guidelines.

End-of-Year Reminders

  1. Money in the Meal Account will remain in your student's account for the start of next year.
  2. Please pay money owed by June 9.  Any money not paid will need to be paid off prior to the start of the school year.
  3. If you do not pay your meal account off prior to June 9, you will need to send your payment to the administration office. Please send the exact payoff amounts for the end of the year.

Graduating or Moving

  1. Complete the Closing Meal Account form to request a refund, transfer to a sibling, or donate to a student in need.
  2. Refunds must be $5 or more.
  3. Stop any automatic payment options at www.schoolcafe.com and deactivate your account.

If your child owes money to Pine-Richland, please send a check made payable to Pine-Richland Cafeteria Fund,700 Warrendale Road, Gibsonia, PA 15044.

Thank you for your support of the school meals program. We look forward to providing a continued healthy meal service for our students and staff for breakfast and lunch. Please contact the food service department at ryan.wilson@sodexo.com with questions.
