Accessibility

Pine-Richland School District is committed to providing a website that is welcoming and accessible to every member of our school community. Our goal is to make our website and digital content accessible to individuals with diverse abilities, following the principles outlined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Our Commitment

We are dedicated to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. This commitment is part of our broader effort to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Accessibility Standards

To help achieve this goal, Pine-Richland School District adheres to the WCAG 2.2 standards, which outline techniques to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. These standards include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing text alternatives for non-text content
  • Ensuring that all functionality is available from a keyboard
  • Making text readable and understandable
  • Creating content that is navigable by screen readers
