    Dear Rams Parents,

Before you complete the online registration, which includes the sports physical form for the new season, I would like to once again share the mission, values, and philosophy of the athletic department and illustrate how the district’s PRIDE values are woven into our programs. I would ask that you please take a moment to read and review the statement before you fill out the forms.
The mission of the PRSD athletics is to enhance and support the overall educational mission, vision, and values of Pine-Richland School District. The values of the PRSD Athletic Department align tightly with the district. Each value plays an important role in athletics. PRIDE: Personal Growth, Resiliency, Innovation, Diverse Opportunities, Engagement.
Personal Growth: The foundation of athletics encourages all participants to capture the joy and personal growth that comes with being part of a team working toward a common goal. Everyone involved will be encouraged to grow and to learn while developing a number of strong moral character traits such as teamwork, discipline, self-confidence, and sportsmanship.
Resiliency: Participants will demonstrate an unwavering commitment to success. Learning from victories as well as from defeats. The expectation is that everyone involved will perform at maximum effort in the quest to learn how to be successful. Each will operate with integrity and follow the spirit of the rules both on and off the field of play.
Innovation: Pine-Richland athletics will encourage innovation and the utilization of technology to increase knowledge of all constituents of each of the district programs. Innovation can enhance the communication and collaboration of the entire athletic community (student-athletes, coaches, alumni, and community supporters).
Diverse Opportunities: Pine-Richland athletics will offer a wide range of high-quality programs. Everyone who chooses to be involved with PR athletics will have the opportunity to capitalize on all of the benefits of athletic participation namely good health and well-being, self-confidence, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
Engagement: Pine-Richland athletics will utilize the district resources (coaches, equipment, technology) and facilities to support students. These “outside of the classroom” engagement opportunities often inspire student-athletes to develop habits and skills that they can apply throughout their lives. Everyone associated with the athletic department will serve as an ambassador for the school district striving to enhance its overall mission through competitive excellence.
Please take a few moments to fill out the PR Athletics Registration Form. We realize this registration format will be new to district families, but we are confident that it is the most efficient format for gathering the information deemed necessary for our student-athletes to compete safely. Filling out the form is required for student-athletic participation.
I am proud of the achievement and growth of our programs. We wish our graduating seniors luck as they move forward in their lives. Our hope is that their academic, social, and athletic experiences have helped prepare them for the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
