    STUDENT GOVERNMENT: There will be a brief senior class student government meeting in the library during homeroom this morning.  Students, check in with your homeroom teacher before heading to the library.

    AP EXAMS: Today students will be taking the German exam. Good luck.

    YEARBOOKS: The Yearbooks are in! Plan to pick up your yearbook in the school store if you're a senior, starting the morning of Tuesday, May 21st and during all lunches for all students. If you did not order a yearbook online, you can still purchase one for 80 dollars cash. See Mrs. Harshman in room 221 if you have questions.

    PICKELBALL TOURNAMENT: Attention Pickleball lovers! The Student Government Class of 2025 is hosting their second annual Pickleball Tournament Friday May 24th at 2:45 PM. Grab a partner and join them in raising money for Children's Hospital. Scan the QR code found on your screen or on the flyers posted around the building. Entries are 5 dollars per person and sign-ups will be held during all lunch periods today through Tuesday, May 21st. Tournament winners will be announced and awarded gift cards, so bring the competition!


    ENGLISH DEPARTMENT NEWS: Attention juniors enrolled in next year's AP Literature & Composition for 12th grade, there will be an informational meeting after school on Wednesday, May 29th in Global Studies until 3:30.  Please mark your calendars so that you can attend this mandatory meeting.  A make-up meeting is scheduled for Thursday morning, May 30 in Global Studies from 7:10 to 7:40.  You must attend one of these meetings. See Mrs. Fink in room 206 if you have questions.  

    DANCE TEAM TRYOUTSTryouts for the 2024 - 2025 Pine-Richland High School Dance Team will take place on May 21st, 22nd, and 23rd from 3pm to 5pm in the Pine-Richland Middle School Main Gym.  All students currently in grades 8 through 11 are eligible to try out. A Tryout registration form must be completed by the end of school today.     KEY CLUB HOSTS WALK FOR WATER: Join the Key Club on Monday, May 20th, from 3pm to 4pm at the high school track for the Walk for Water fundraiser. This event raises awareness about the need for clean water all over the world. All donations go to Hope for Ghana, an organization that builds wells in West Africa. 

    BOOK DRIVE: Pine Township Youth Council is hosting a Book Drive at the high school until Friday, May 31st. All books collected will be donated to the UPMC Children’s Family Care Connection Center.

    WELLNESS WEDNESDAYS: Peer 2 Peer is hosting "Wellness Wednesdays" for the rest of May as part of their Mental Health Awareness initiative. The May 22nd theme is mental health. Show your support for mental health by wearing your PR colors. They hope to have the whole building participate in each Wednesday's theme both in attire and stopping by the activity room in the cafeteria during lunch.

    COLOR RUN: Join Peer 2 Peer for the 9th Annual Color Run/Walk this Sunday. Early bird registration has closed, but you can still register at the gate for 20 dollars.

    SENIOR DINNER DANCE: Attention Seniors. The Senior Dinner Dance will be held Friday May 31st on the Gateway Clipper. Tickets sales are closed. Be sure to bring extra money to pay for parking in Station Square on May 31st. If anyone has questions, they can contact Dr. Sipe or Mr. Pollock.

    THEME DAY THURSDAY: The next Theme Day Thursday will take place May 30th with the theme, the Twin Day.

    PRTV CLUB: The next meeting for the PRTV Club will be held Tuesday, May 21st after school in room 328. Items on the agenda will be production for second to last episode of Ramtastic and club officer elections for the 2024-2025 school year.




    - Goldstein Test Prep will host a live webinar: A Sea of Change: Digital SAT, ACT, and Score Optional Admissions, on May 21st, at 7:00 PM. Registration is required. Interested parents and students should check their email for the registration link and additional information.


    - Allegheny College and PRHS Director of College and Career Counseling, Mrs. Whalen, are offering a virtual webinar on the College Search Process just for parents on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
