    STUDENT GOVERNMENT: Our 12th grade Student Government is hosting a "Movie Night" to be held in the PRHS Stadium. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 28th.  The event is open to all students and staff. Tickets will be sold at the Stadium entrance the night of the event for $5.00 and students will have a chance to buy snacks and candy there. Students should bring blankets and pillows to sit on the turf and can come dressed in a costume. No outside food or drinks are allowed, and searches will be done upon entrance. All proceeds go to a Class of 2022 community project. Please see a senior class student government officer for any questions.

    ELEVATOR KEYS: Any student who has an elevator key that they are no longer using please return it to the nurse's office as soon as possible.  

    THEME DAY THURSDAY: Not sure what Theme Day Thursday is? Two Thursdays each month, staff and students are encouraged to dress up in the day’s theme. The next theme day Thursday will take place on October 28th, with the theme being Orange and Black for Halloween.

    YEARBOOK: Order The Rambler Yearbook through October 31st at a discounted price of $55. Go to yearbookforever.com and search Pine-Richland. After October 31st, the price will increase through the year.

    BEST BUDDIES CLUB: The Best Buddies Club’s first meeting of the school year will be held on October 20th. Meetings will continue to take place on the 3rd Wednesday of each month in Global Studies.

    SPANISH FUNDRAISER: The Pine-Richland High School Spanish Club will be hosting a fundraiser on Monday, October 18th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Chipotle in Wexford.  Kindly use the code LRBZ72E to order on your phone so that we get credit. Gracias for your support.

    TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS: All transcript requests for colleges must be submitted to your Guidance Counselor by October 18th. Also, be sure to submit your applications by November 1st.

    Virtual college visits have begun. You can view the most up-to-date visit list through your Naviance Student account. Registration is required, as well as permission from your study hall or classroom teacher. Please bring your laptop, headphones, or earbuds with you to all meetings. Interested students should check their school email to access the Google Permission Form.

    RAMS SPORTS:

    GYMNASTICS: There will be an informational meeting for girls in grades 9th through 12th interested in being part of the PRHS Girls Gymnastics Team. The meeting will be held in the LGI room at the high school on Tuesday, October 19th, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Any interested gymnast, along with a parent, should plan to attend.

    POWDER PUFF: Sign-ups for this year’s Powder Puff game will take place on Thursday, October 21 before school and during homeroom. Juniors will sign-up in room 41 and Seniors will sign-up in room 321. The cost is $15. Please bring cash or check made out to either Class of 2022 or 2023. Only five coaches per grade will be able to sign-up. You MUST purchase a t-shirt to gain entrance on the field the night of the game.

    GIRL’S VOLLEYBALL: Cheer on the girl’s volleyball team on Thursday, October 21st, versus North Allegheny as they give back. Donations are being accepted and tickets are being sold for various raffle baskets. All proceeds, including from that night's concessions, will go to support the Daniel George Family. Games are being held at PRHS Gymnasium. JV begins at 6:00 p.m. followed by Varsity at 7:15 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact Tara Yanni at her e-mail address tarayanni@gmail.com. In other girl’s volleyball news, tomorrow the Varsity and JV teams will be at Moon Area. JV plays at 3:00 p.m. followed by the varsity game at 4:15 p.m.

    FIELD HOCKEY: Join the Field Hockey team on October 18th as they give back during their charity game to benefit the Darren Miller Forever Fund and Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation.

    FOOTBALL: Tonight, the Varsity team will be at North Hills. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m. Tomorrow the JV team will take on North Hills at home. Kickoff is at 10:00 a.m. at PR Stadium.

    CREW: Tomorrow the Varsity and JV teams will race against Mercyhurt Prep and Mount Lebanon. The races will be held at the Coraopolis Marina.

    BOY’S SOCCER: Tomorrow the Varsity and JV teams will take on Hampton at home. Varsity plays at 11:00 a.m. followed by the JV game. Both games will be played at the Ram Cage.

    GIRL’S SOCCER: Tomorrow the Varsity and JV teams will face Butler at home. JV plays at 5:00 p.m. followed by the Varsity game at 6:30 p.m. Both games will be played at PR Stadium.

    ICE HOCKEY: Tonight, the JV-2 team will be at North Allegheny. The puck drops at 9:50 p.m. at the Baierl Ice Complex.
