    SPRING MUSICAL: Everyone is invited to experience holiday joy in March as Pine-Richland High School happily presents Elf the Musical. The remaining show dates are tonight at 7:30 p.m. and two shows on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased on the High School Musical website, located at the address https://www.pinerichland.org/Domain/311.

     

    SPAGHETTI DINNER: Enjoy a great dinner and entertainment between the matinee and evening performances of the PRHS musical on March 25th.     ASIAN CULTURE CLUB: The Asian Culture Club will be having a meeting on Tuesday, March 28th, in room 202. They will be playing games from different cultures in this meeting. Those who attend are welcome to bring games of their own to share with everyone as well. Come and join them for fun and snacks!

     

    SHOES FOR SOLES: The preschoolers are holding a used shoe drive at school until April 6th as their service project in honor of Shoe the World Day, which took place last week. They are collecting gently used shoes of all sizes and types from children and adults.  The shoes will be given to Shoes for Soles where they will be donated to individuals in need of shoes.  If you have any you would like to donate and get out of your house, there is a donation box outside of the preschool classroom.  

     

    PINE GALA: The Pine Township Youth Council is hosting its 1st annual Pine Gala event tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Pine Community Center.  Students are asked to submit or perform a piece of artwork which can be either a poem, song/dance, video, play, or physical artwork.  Students can email their pieces or bring them to the event.  This is going to be a fun event all about promoting mental health.  Guest speakers will be discussing how mental health has impacted their lives and food will be available for $5.  If anyone has questions please send an email to ptyc.get.info@gmail.com or ptycgetinfo.wixsite.com/pinegala.

     

    RAMMYS FILM FESTIVAL: All Pine-Richland School District students and employees are highly encouraged to share their short videos and films. This includes individual school projects and other full-class assignments. In other words, we want to see your films and any videos you may have already made for Social Studies, Science, Math, Language Arts, World Language, Art, Engineering and Technology Education projects too! The deadline to share your videos is April 17th at 11:59 p.m. All you have to do is upload them to your school Google Drive and email to prtvarchive@pinerichland.org. Then, on May 12th at 7:00 p.m., the PRTV Club will live stream your creations for the entire world to see. You may watch the showcase via our live streaming page.

     

    PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT: The Class of 2025 Student Government will be holding a pickleball tournament for charity on Saturday, April 1st at 10:00 a.m. To sign up, simply scan the QR code seen on flyers throughout the school or visit room 417 today during homeroom. Registration costs $10, and money should be given directly to Mrs. Kronk-Love or Mr. Bichler in room 417 after completing the registration form. Proceeds benefit the Children's Hospital Foundation.  This is a doubles tournament, so find a partner and sign up!

     

    PROM: Interested in attending Prom?  Prom tickets go on sale Tuesday, March 28th for seniors.  Starting Thursday, March 30th, all juniors, and seniors will be able to purchase Prom tickets.  Tickets are $100 per student and will be sold in the PRHS Front Lobby before homeroom.  You must have a signed permission slip and payment to purchase tickets.  You will be selecting your seat at the time of purchase.  After March 31st, tickets increase to $110 per student. Permission slips can be picked up outside of room 100.  They have also been emailed to all juniors and seniors and are available on the school website.  The last day to purchase tickets is Wednesday, April 5th.  Any questions, please email Mrs. Brough, or Mrs. McCarthy at lbrough@pinerichland.org nmccarthy@pinerichland.org.

     

    BLOOD DRIVE: Please donate on Thursday, April 6th from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the gym to help PRHS earn scholarship funds to support local hospital patients. All 16-year-old students must have a signed parental consent form. For more information and permission forms, please visit the Guidance Office.

     

    LIP DUB: The 2023 Lip Dub is going to take place on Tuesday, March 28th! Be sure to dress in your green and white.

     

    FREE PROM DRESSES: We are hoping to help many girls with over 3,000 free prom gowns, plus shoes and accessories. All girls are welcome. This will take place at the Pittsburgh indoor sports arena, 22 Rich Hill Road, Cheswick. The dates and times are Thursday, March 30 and Friday, March 31, from 4:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For more information, call 412.760.0350 or email blessadress@yahoo.com

    PROF: Scholarship Applications for graduating seniors are now available online. The Pine-Richland Opportunities Fund is offering about 25 unique scholarships, totaling approximately $39,000, thanks to the generosity of community members and organizations. Go to the PROF website located at the web address (https://www.prof-fund.org/) to see descriptions of the scholarships. The application deadline for all PROF scholarships is Friday, April 7th.

     

    PRTV CLUB: The next meeting for the PRTV Club will take place on Tuesday, March 30th after school in room 328. Items on the agenda will be production of the next episode of Ramtastic and Rammys advertising. Any student interested in joining the club should join the club’s Google Classroom at the classroom code. (fhvnfpo)

     

    RAMTASTIC: Attention students. Mr. Koehler sent you an e-mail asking you to complete the next Fun Poll. The Fun Poll will be open until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28th.

     

    THEME DAY THURSDAY: The next theme day, Thursday, will take place on Thursday, April 6th with the theme Concert Tee.

     

    SKATE FOR A CAUSE: Join PRHS at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex this Sunday, March 26th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. as we Skate for a Cause. The $10 ticket includes entrance to public skate and skate rental. Please note, for every registered skater from Pine-Richland HS, the PR PTO receives a $5 donation.     RAMS SPORTS:

     

    BOY’S TENNIS: This past Wednesday, the Varsity team defeated Butler 4 to 1. The team’s next match is on Monday, March 31st against Seneca Valley.

     

    BASEBALL: Today, come out and celebrate Best Buddy Day with the Varsity Baseball team.  Join our Buddies and cheer on the Rams when they take on Mars at 3:00 p.m. The game will be played at No Off Season. JV will be away against Mars. The first pitch is at 3:45 p.m.

     

    BOY’S VOLLEYBALL: Tomorrow the Varsity team will compete in a tournament at Norwin. The tournament begins at 8:30 a.m.

     

    BOY’S LACROSSE: Tomorrow the Varsity and JV teams will face Penn Trafford at home. JV plays at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Varsity game at 11:30 a.m.
